Card Shows Kindness is a newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Wakefield, MA founded by Nich Wattanasin and Greg Nelson—and in just six months, we’ve already made an incredible impact. Across New England, we’ve partnered with local Pokémon, TCG, and sports card show organizers to weave charity and compassion into the heart of the card-collecting community.
With tables at more than a dozen card shows, we’ve rallied generous collectors, vendors, and fans to support meaningful local causes. Together, we’ve raised over $15,000 for food banks, schools, a fire department, and low-income families.
Now, we’re embarking on our biggest initiative yet: the Card Shows Kindness Youth Scholarship, created in partnership with the Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield. This permanent scholarship will provide a deserving graduating high school student with support for college every year—forever. To fully endow it, we’re working toward a $10,000 fundraising goal.
To help make this vision a reality, we’re hosting an in-person celebration and fundraiser dinner on December 12th, 2025, right here in Wakefield, MA. This special event is not only a fundraiser—it’s our chance to thank the partners, vendors, community members, and especially the dedicated show runners who have supported us from day one, including PokeCon, Best Flipping, New England Card House, Catch Em Card Show, and Dynamic Card Collectors.
Together, we’re proving that kindness can be collected, shared, and multiplied.
